Some tips for in the Gay Sauna

Update 2023.

Gay Saunas can actually be pretty fun, so if you’re curious, definitely give them a try. For your first trip, here’s a list of tips that will make it a good experience:

I prefer to wear flip-flops always at communal areas, whether it is the shower/spa area of the local gym, swimmingpool or in this case the gay sauna. I prefer to keep my feet safe from fungus or anything like that...offfcourse this is all out of hygienic reasons... but its up to you offcourse.

I’m a bottom, so I carry my silicone lube and a douche in my bag(pack) to a gay sauna, or anywhere I think I might get lucky. Because the simple fact is that even after a general cleaning, you can never completely predict or control the body. What’s the point of going to a wonderfull sensual/sexual area if you’ll just have to go home or can't have full relaxed fun, because you don't feel clean? It has happened to me before so.......Bringing a small douche means that the worst case scenario is remedied by a trip to the bathroom.

Like you, others are just there to have a good time. If they flirt – and if they touch or caress you (it’s going to happen) – tell them you’re not interested and move on. There’s no need to be mean.

If you’re nervous about the sex, remember that you can also indulge your voyeuristic side and just watch, or be watched. And if the gay sauna has a pool, as many do, you can swim. Many gau saunas have gyms, lounges, and bar area where you can chill out. Offcourse , at a bathhouse, there can be advances or sex is happening just around the corner...😏

It might not end up being your thing. But keep a spirit of adventure and don’t put down the patrons that enjoy the dwindling bathhouse scene. Gay saunas are just Gay Saunas, nothing more or less.

They were once a staple of gay life, and now they are again starting to be popular. People are tired of endless chatting on an App for a disappointing date/hook-up.

Not sure if this all is true, or real...but I on the other hand think, you can not deny this has an affect....

The first time going to a bathhouse, with a buddy who knows what to do, can be great. He has your back if you get nervous, and will leave if you wanted to leave. Having a friend who you can follow around and talk to while you built up courage can also be a benefit. Bars, clubs, and parties are always better with someone you trust – your local bathhouse is no different.

Just try it....if its not your thing..just leave and have a laugh about it.
