Gay Sauna Adventures

Well, guys, I am back at it again. I have been teasing you guys with updates for a while, and nothing coming...well Covid period...job insecurities, family issues, personal (mental) health, money....all contributed that I was not travelling at all/a lot these last few years.  Now that there is more calmness in every area in my live...I am not able to live out my dream and travel/live in Europe due to my new job!!! Working from home has provided me with more flexibility and able to stay for a week or 2 in different cities/countries in Europe... I have taken this opportunity to the fullest and regular leave the Dutch country side for a couple of days/weeks at the time and stayed (up to now) in Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Munich, Lille, Paris, Vienna, Lisboa  and many more cities coming up I hope.... For these cities I will also do updates of saunas I already visited before, to give you a good idea/impression....I will add sauna pictures, experiences and give a proper review of the place

Why I love Gay Saunas / Bath Houses

Update: 2023 (original 2014) The term "gay sauna/bathhouse" carrie s a stigma I simply couldn't shake and now after personal experiences, simply  don't agree with . Now with internet and reviews, you can check others experiences online  and  you can have a good idea what goes on inside. Its no t filthy orgy rooms, whips and chains, dark sleazy sex mazes, filthy toilets and perverted old trolls giving me dirty looks. To the contrary many saunas are clean, beautiful and wonderfull filled with gay and bise xual men in all sizes, colors and ages.   Offcourse the very first time(s) you might be very nervou s (even to go into a sauna) but when you walk around a sauna, what I found my very first time was a bunch of "regular" guys just like me! Amsterdam - Gay Sauna Nieuwezijds Experience

Well, travelling for work to Amsterdam, I decided to stay a weekend in Amsterdam and explore the city. Its a lovely city, however filled with overload of tourists... However walking around the little streets was nice, and even made a short trip to another city called Utrecht.. On sunday I decided to visit the Sauna Nieuwzijds, which is a very popular sauna with guys from all over Netherlands and tourist visiting the city. A good mix of different cultures were represented. I really like that!! However the first impression of this place is that it was supercrowded, like the citycenter. Guys were sitting everywhere, and where I had to change into small towel, was in the midst where everyone can see you. I tried to be as non-presence as possible, in the hopes that people won't look at me while changing. However, while changing clothes, I did felt more comfortable as I started to feel the relaxed atmosphere... guys around me were cool and flirtatious but I did not feel as anxious a

Some tips for in the Gay Sauna

Update 2023. Gay Saunas can actually be pretty fun, so if you’re curious, definitely give them a try. For your first trip, here’s a list of tips that will make it a good experience: I prefer to wear flip-flops always at communal areas, whether it is the shower/spa area of the local gym, swimmingpool or in this case the gay sauna. I prefer to keep my feet safe from fungus or anything like that...offfcourse this is all out of hygienic reasons... but its up to you offcourse. I’m a bottom, so I carry my silicone lube and a douche in my bag(pack) to a gay sauna, or anywhere I think I might get lucky. Because the simple fact is that even after a general cleaning, you can never completely predict or control the body. What’s the point of going to a wonderfull sensual/sexual area if you’ll just have to go home or can't have full relaxed fun, because you don't feel clean? It has happened to me before so..

Kaiserbründl herrensauna in Vienna, Austria

The Wonderfull Kaiserbrundl Herrensauna in Vienna First of all, I had some really great experiences here while visiting a few times this sauna during my stay in Vienna.  This is a beautiful old building, tucked away in a little street, but huge inside. It seemed to have been an old ancient bathhouse..now the play ground for gay/bi men... It attracts an interesting mix of men...off course a lot of mature men visit the bath...but on Thursday and Saturday evening it attracts a big younger crowd.... due to from 6pm the foam party starts.... Off course there is plenty of cruising the area going on as well...and the steam room seems to be a good place to connect to that guy you find interesting before moving somewhere else. Vienna is the main European capital that connects east with west. So there are gorgeous balkan men, ranging from Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, Slovenia....who were born/grew up or moved to Vienna, that now roam the halls/visit Kaiserbrundl.
